August 12 Update

Mixed results for the teams playing for premiership points on Sunday, August 12.

Under 11's - 16 scoring shots to 6 but lost!!! The boys travelled to Hectorville and, in perfect conditions, failed to capitalise on their domination of the forward half of the oval. Four weeks ago we had too few players. Now, with five or six on the bench, it's been more difficult to maintain the system that the coach has been introducing.

Under 12's - Played much better against Eastern Park than in their previous meeting. The second half was very promising.

Under 13's - Were expected to beat Modbury and did, playing much better than they did in round 7. The return of Terrance was a bonus!

Under 14's - After a 'sleepy' first quarter they woke up and dominated for the rest of the game. The boys showed what they are capable of when they play with confidence and desperation.

Under 15's - Went to Fitzroy expecting a close battle. And it was! For three quarters there was little separating the teams but 5 goals from Shaun in the first 10 minutes of the final quarter sealed a hard fought win.
Under 16's - Had little more than another 'competitive training session' against Broadview. 155 points to 3 not entirely reflecting Broadies' effort but the Gepps defence and midfield was too good.
